When we were referred to Bankhead Ortho for our 8-year-old we were very hesitant. The moment we walked into the office (Columbia, IL) there was a sigh of relief on both my husband and I. They are so kid friendly that Savannah was ready to get started and was willing to do everything they asked of her. Everyone was eager to answer every question we had, from what can be done with our daughters smile to how much it was going to cost. Believe me, we asked a lot of questions. There was no “sales-pitch” or pressure, only answers. We were so impressed that our “consult” turned into a full mouth of braces before we walked out the door. The past year has been a breeze. We never had a problem getting Savannah to go for a check up even when she knew she had to get her braces tightened. Of course we use the “happy rinse” recommended by Dr. McDermott. And yes, there were a few tears along the way but everyone was so understanding and patient that our 8-year-old was never afraid. Savannah got her braces off 3 weeks ago and is so excited to show off her wonderful new smile to everyone she sees. I can not believe the difference a few months can do for a smile.                                         |
