About Our Orthodontists

With offices in Columbia, IL, and O’Fallon, Wentzville and Chesterfield MO, Drs. Brent Bankhead, Richard McDermott and Darren Rodabough specialize in providing orthodontics for children, teens and adults. Brent Dee Bankhead, DDS, MS Dr. Bankhead was born and raised in St. Louis. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Iowa where he received the Dow Research Award for three straight years. Dr. Bankhead completed his orthodontic training at Saint Louis University, where he received a Master of Science in Dentistry. He is a frequent lecturer on Invisalign®, and has been recognized as one of top Invisalign providers in the world. Dr. Bankhead and his wife, Laurice, have three boys, Christian, Spencer and Samuel. He and his family enjoy skiing, martial arts and participating in church activities. Richard McDermott, DDS, MS Dr. McDermott was born and raised in the state of Utah. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and completed his orthodontic training at the University of Southern California. He then obtained a Master of Science degree in Craniofacial Biology. Dr. McDermott graduated with honors, and is still a member of the OKU Dental Honors Society. Dr. McDermott and his wife, Lisa, have three children, Parker, Scott and Thomas. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, playing the guitar and piano and is an active leader in his church youth and scouting programs. He has recently written a children’s book entitled "WoodChuck Chuck", which is currently being illustrated prior to publication. Darren Rodabough, DDS, MS Dr. Rodabough was born and raised in the state of Washington. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Rodabough graduated with honors and was the recipient of numerous clinical and leadership awards. He completed his orthodontic training at Saint Louis University where he received a Master of Science degree in Orthodontics. Dr. Rodabough also completed a fellowship at the Southern Illinois School of Dental Medicine, where he taught pediatric dentistry and orthodontics. Dr. Rodabough and his wife, Erin, have three children, McKay, Natalie and David. In his spare time, he enjoys playing basketball, reading and spending time with his family. He is also involved in activities at his church.
